JetBlue has partnered with the technology startup WeatherPromise to offer refunds to travelers who are affected by “significant rain” during their vacations.

To ensure more comfort for its travelers, JetBlue Vacation has announced a partnership with WeatherPromise to offer refunds if customers face “significant rain.”

“We know how important vacations are, and by offering coverage against weather-related disruptions, we ensure that our customers can enjoy their trips with confidence and peace of mind,” said Jamie Perry, president of JetBlue Travel.

Customers who book eligible “flight + hotel” packages will be covered for all components of the trip, including car rentals and activities, according to the statement.

WeatherPromise will determine the amount of rain required for the refund to be issued. If the established criteria are met, travelers will be automatically reimbursed.

“Our partnership allows us and JetBlue to fulfill our mission of providing everyone with the joy and freedom of traveling the world without worrying about the weather,” said Daniel Price, co-founder of WeatherPromise.
